Celebrating AANHPI Heritage Month: A Note from Our Founder

As we wrap up our second AANHPI (Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander) Heritage Month as an Asian-owned and woman-owned small business, I wanted to take a moment to reflect, with gratitude, pride, and hope.

AANHPI Heritage Month is more than a calendar celebration; it's a powerful reminder of the diverse voices, traditions, and achievements that shape the fabric of American life. From artists and activists to scientists, entrepreneurs, and beauty innovators, Asians have long made meaningful contributions to this country, and yet, for so long, many of us have also felt invisible.

I remember growing up as a little Asian-American girl, obsessed with beauty and makeup but rarely seeing people who looked like me in magazines, beauty aisles, or on tv. I loved playing around with makeup and experimenting with my look, but always wondered why so few products were made with eyes like mine in mind - monolids. Beauty, it seemed, didn’t include me.

Thanks to the American dream, hard work, and the unwavering support of our community, I now run my own business dedicated to changing that narrative. Hannah Cho Beauty exists to create space for Asian beauty - thoughtful, inclusive products that reflect our unique features, heritage, and confidence.

This month, we’ve celebrated our roots, uplifted creators in the community, and offered products designed for eyes and skin that haven’t always been centered in mainstream beauty. But this is just the beginning. We’re working on future launches that continue to innovate: lashes that truly fit, skincare that complements Asian skin needs, and resources that educate and empower.

Thank you for being part of our journey. Your support doesn’t just help a small business grow, it helps amplify representation, inspire pride, and build a more inclusive beauty industry for generations to come.

With love and gratitude 💛
