Elizabeth Sing | @being_bethsing | Korean American Adoptee
Growing up in Minnesota as a Korean American adoptee, ElizabEth learned early on what it felt like to stand out. Adopted from Korea and raised in a not very diverse area, she often felt different from those around her. She shared that being teased growing up taught her two important things: to be kind to everyone and to develop tough skin.
Today, Elizabeth embraces the uniqueness she once struggled with. What used to make her feel insecure is now something she takes pride in. She used to feel bad about her differences, but now thrives on being one of a kind. Her culture is a big part of who she is and she values continuing to learn more about her Korean heritage for both herself and her daughters.
More than anything, she is proud of her heart and the values she was raised with. She credits her kind upbringing for shaping who she is today and says her Christian faith is what she is most proud of.
Elizabeth is currently continuing her work in editing while exploring new opportunities through social media. Through all of life's challenges, the best advice she's received has stayed with her: don't give too much energy to what others think of you, just keep going.
